We can create more great school options for New Jersey families.  Kids and their families want high-quality school options.   Charter schools are certainly not the only way to offer parents and families more high-quality schools, but they are a critical part of the solution. But the current, outdated charter law is preventing many of these schools back from reaching their full potential, limiting educational options for kids and their families. We recommend instituting an independent charter school board to authorize the creation of charter schools in any community to meet the demand for high-quality school options.
